Varsity Head Coach
Coach Schulhofer is an alumnus of UCLA. He is a history and government teacher at Canyon and has been involved with Canyon baseball for many years. Coach Schulhofer was a Varsity Assistant from 1995-1997 and the Head JV Coach in 1998 when JV claimed league champs. He was Head Varsity Coach from 1999-2003, leading the team in 2002 to the CIF championship game in Anaheim. He took a brief break but came back to Canyon baseball as a Varsity Assistant in 2006-2007. He was an Assistant Coach at Mission College in 2008.
Coach Schulhofer is married to Kelli and they have two daughters, Riley and Avery.

Assistant Varsity Head Coach
Coach Willis has been a respected coach and teacher at Canyon for over 20 years. He earned his bachelor's degree in physical education from Cal State Northridge and has coached at all levels of high school baseball at Canyon. He also coached at Cal State Northridge, winning the College World Series in 1985. He has been married for 32 years to Lori; they have two children, Jason and his wife Jennifer, and Jamie and her boyfriend David. They also have two grandchildren, Sklyer age 4 and Nathan age 1, both children of Jason and Jennifer. They also have a Golden Retriever named "Slacker."
BRIAN EGGLESTON #7
Junior Varsity Head Coach
Coach Eggleston is a former Canyon High student, playing varsity baseball as a sophomore. He has played baseball at all levels. He was on a scout league team for the Angels organization from 1992-1994. He also played five years of American Legion baseball for the Newhall/Saugus team which won five straight league championships from 1991-1995. He played two years at Glendale College and helped lead them to two Western State Conference championships. He was a a first team all Western State Conference catcher and was recruited by LSU, Tulane University, Lewis/Clark State University and San Francisco State. His baseball career ended due to injury at the end of the 1999 season. He also coached for two seasons at Glendale College in 2000-2001.
BOB YAKEL #6
Assistant Junior Varsity Coach
Coach Yakel has worked for the Hart District for 10 years at Sierra Vista Junior High. He has coached and umpired since he was 18 years old. His first coaching season at Canyon was in 2008 and he is looking forward to this year. He is married to Glenda, and has a daughter, Nikki, who attends Canyon. He also has two sons in the Marine Corps., Louie and Bobby Roybal.
GINO POMILIO #5
Freshman Head Coach
Coach Pomilio has coached baseball for over 25 years. He was the head coach at Marin Catholic High School in the Bay area, an assistant coach at Sonoma State University, and before coming to Canyon, was the head coach at Redwood High School (high school of alums Pete Carroll and Chad Kreuter, head football and head baseball coaches, respectively at USC). He has been involved in a total of 12 championship seasons. He is also the inventor and patent holder of the Easton Thunderstick.
